They extracted as much Intel they could and considered him useless. He probably isn't behaving as expected.
Or maybe all that it's just a show and he is coming back to the States to continue to spy for them.
I don't think he could be trusted.
That's interesting - the common thought is that NK finds him useless or yeah, he's not good at behaving in a foreign country so they want to get rid of him.
But what if they offered him LOTS of money to spy inside the US? Although if he's going to jail for a while, what good is spying?
I hope the Army does the right thing and detain him in the stockade until they can issue him a Dishonorable Discharge from the military. Anything less than that would be a slap in the face to EVERY American who served in our military since we will have to share the limited VA benefits with this loser.
Hopefully, once they issue him his Dishonorable Discharge, he will find an inner tube and defect to Cuba. This idiot is so stupid, he doesn’t even realize he is a person of ZERO value. I wished the North Koreans would have allowed this idiot to have a “boating accident.”
As for him being a spy, he is too stupid to be successful at anything that might require some level brain power… I seriously doubt that he would be able to gather any real intelligence while working at the local Burger King or collecting shopping carts from the parking lot at the nearest Walmart.

I was wondering what an ordinary citizen could possibly report to a foreign government that would be worth paying for.
I have no access to anything myself. I can't see any secret thing worth seeing and I can't hear anything worth hearing. So I don't think this young fellow with poor job prospects has anything to sell them and they know it.
He apparently is in US Custody so we will see what happens.
The interesting thing is that the report said that NK "agreed" to expel him. With this administration, you have to wonder what it took for them to "agree" to this.

The North Koreans didn't want him either. Can't blame them, but maybe this man is just mentally ill and should be in some sort of city roaming with the others. He will blend.

Yeah, pretty bad when North Korea kicks you out. I can't see him getting anything other than dishonorable discharge.
