Why is it only on Dems? Some of the most generous squatters rights laws are in red states like Montana and Wyoming. In Montana, squatters can take legal possession of the house if they stay there for only 5 years. This is not a Federal level issue, it's a state by state issue.

A baseball bat and/or 12 gauge should be all it takes to remove a squatter, in minutes, if not seconds.
Very tempting, but could lead to a legal mess, especially if the squatters you are "encouraging" to leave start filming.
I lived/worked in South Africa for a few years, and at the time the city of Pretoria thought it a brilliant idea to make occupancy of a home only 48 hours before the squatter had legal tenant rights. It turned into the hot mess one would expect almost immediately. Scammers and grifters quickly began to identify temporarily vacant homes in the nicer areas, most owned by people who had simply gone on vacation and such. The scammers would break a window facing away from the street to gain access, tear out any alarm system if the place had one, if security response came, they would abandon the place, but if no response (common in Pretoria, even for paid service) they were in business. Police were completely useless in Pretoria at the time, often demanding a cash bribe simply to show up.
So if it worked out, the grifters would offer a lease at a low price to those who could never afford a nice home, and the house would have groups, sometimes large, move in immediately. Cash all paid up front, but no keys and with broken windows and all, so these squatters had a good idea what was going on up front most likely.
There was some racial dynamics involved here also of course.
Owners on return would find people in their homes who refused to leave, and often knew the law of 48 hours. The city was zero help other than informing the legal owners they had to go through the lengthy eviction process in the courts.
So what did some entrepreneurs resort to? Offering services of house clearing using large breed aggressive protection dogs, like Boerboels or Rottweilers. They would accompany a home owner to their home and enter with the dogs. This method had a high success rate as the squatters, most having a high rate of fear for dogs culturally, would typically "self deport" from the premises almost immediately. Nobody directly threatened with weapons, no harm to anybody. A win for home owners, who now had regained control of their home!
Learning of this soon enough, some on the city council wanted to make this practice with dogs illegal (derp!), but the council, seeing too many problems with the entire mess dropped the ever so stupid 48 hour ordinance back to something more reasonable.
I learned of this all after the fact when a local investigative type show called Carte Blanche aired it. One of the squatted homes was right on my street.

You would think a fast way to get squatters to leave would be turn off the utilities. But some states require owners keep utilities on and pay for it! Not sure about FL

You cannot do anything to harm or discomfort tenants (deadbeats, squatters, etc) in any way.

I saw a guy interviewed yesterday who has a business removing squatters! It stared when he tried to help his mother sell her home sometime after the dad died. There was a squatter and the city couldn’t do anything. So he had his mom write a lease saying he was the tenant, and moved in with the squatter! Then once he moved in he started putting up cameras everywhere and the squatters were gone in hours.
Now he has a nationwide team. That’s exactly what they do. Move in. Take up the couch, hog the tv, play loud music, eat their food, just be as obnoxious as possible. The squatters can’t call police. One squatter he removed was a felon, who wasn’t allowed to live in a home with guns. So he moved in with him, gun in holster, and let the squatter know he’s now violating his parole. He left.
I can’t remember his name . Flash something. I thought it was a brilliant idea for a business.
