I would agree that would be an acceptable time frame, if there is no immediate proof of forced entry like broken windows, latches, etc....that police could use to make a sound decision on the ground.
But that time frame is a fantasy compared to reality.
Large blue cities will never prioritize lease squatters being brought that quickly to a true judicious review on behalf of property owners. Some city councils have open hostility to property owners (looking at you Minneapolis...)
