Most have little ability to choose leaders who know better what to do on their behalf. Israelis who are none too happy with Netanyahu are having the same problem too. Leaders who don't do right by their people. To suggest otherwise is also to be clueless about how the world turns. My word.
"no comparison"....then you do a comparison to Hiroshima. You can go to the history forum to debate that topic but it indeed ended the war and saved both Japanese and Allied lives. That being said, there are almost unlimited comparisons in history of high civilian casualties in war. As Sherman said "war is cruelty, there is no use trying to reform it. The crueler it is, the sooner it will be over."

The other poster is more than capable of answering himself, but I do have some comments. Israelis may not like Netanyahu (for obvious reasons - the Hamas attack happened on his watch), but they support the war in Gaza by a huge margin. Palestinian citizens are indeed caught in the middle (although the site of Palestinian civilians celebrating and spitting on Shani Louk's raped and disfigured corpse as it's driven around Gaza forces me to pause), but as I have said repeatedly only one side is to blame for the Gaza civilian casualties - that's the side that started the war, the side that uses it's own citizens as human shields, and the side that can end the world tomorrow by laying down arms and releasing the hostages. Hamas. If you and others spent as much time protesting Hamas as you have protesting Israel then maybe we would see the war end and the killing stop.

I don't know who the "other poster" is, but most of the "other posters" have him on "ignore."

If you hadn't quoted him, I wouldn't have had to see what he wrote...
BTW, I didn't bother to read it, even though it was displayed in your post.

Yep, most likely.

I will say though, his take that Israel has been playing "eye for an eye" games, and also his understanding of Japan's society during ww2, both show serious ignorance. Not that I care, have at it.

Trust me, it wasn't worth reading.

I told him to take his Japan/Hiroshima thoughts to the history forum where it belongs. Those guys know history and don't tolerate ignorance - he would be torn apart.

Thus, why I put him on "ignore."

I don't ignore people who disagree with me, I put them on ignore, when they are no longer worth reading.

So, what? Hamas has no culpability in the scenario in your view?

I think Israel should occupy Gaza and allow Palestinians to live their under their watchful eye... IE.. no you cannot put rocket launchers in that school...

I'll do as I see fitting, appropriate or needed thank you very much, and I'll accept whatever stays or goes as decided by the mods. Seems you aren't understanding what I have been trying to explain here from the beginning let alone the long history leading up to what this thread topic is all about, so pardon me if you feel insulted, but I think my comments along those lines have been rather mild all considered. I don't see any point in starting again.
