Well at least one branch of government is reflecting the opinion of the People.

I'd feel better if they would vote this way to de-fund the war.

By the way, for the record, my representative Chris Smith is a bootlicking, useless piece of crap. Thanks for letting me vent

Is this what the troups want to hear????? First, their thinking, we have no reliefs coming. Secondly, their talking about yanking our funding, we're going to run out of bullets and equipment.

Great moral builder we got going.

Dear SW friend--the non-binding resolution (if we look at it clearly) will not yank funds from bullets and equipment; furthermore, the boys (men) won't have to redeploy two, three times in a row.

Please read it!

As big of a morale boost as sending the new surge over under-equipped, right? But, then they'll be just like the troops already there. I bet they feel great about that.

The notion of our soldiers being in battle and running out of ammunition is just another stupid Republican canard. I hope they're having fun politicking and distorting as more troops die by the day for a pointless, lie-based occupation.

Let’s see, if I was a soldier in Iraq, what would I want to hear?

“Guess what, Saddam is dead, there are no WMD’s, the Iraqi’s voted for their government, there is a civil war going on, we’re getting you guys and girls out of harms way to help secure our borders at home and so you can be safe and alive with your family in the USA”

or

“Guess what, you need to stay there under the threat of serious bodily injury or death and if you want to know why, we’ll tell you when we finalize the new reason”

Would be nice if GB listened!
We already are in a pickle about our defense spending and replentishing things like tanks and aircraft and maintining morale. Thanks to this war and the $$ wasted on it!
Why can't people understand that most people who support this resolution are NOT anti-military? We are anti-waste, anti-stupidity, anti-18 year olds coming home in a bodybag for an illegal war of lies. Stop taking it personally.
Bullets and helmets don't cost millions. Contracts with Halliburton do.
