To the OP: perhaps there is not such thing as a completely liberal nor completely conservative country in the world, but there always are at least a conservative and a liberal element in most countries, even in some of the socialists nations of Europe. Some have both socialist political parties. Some times the conservatives hold a majority, while other times the socialists holds a majority.

Now, The World Workers Party, sometimes known by other names are socialist-communist, and we have them right here in the US.

The "extremist" Islamic countries certainly do believe in a strong national defense, I think we can agree on that. As for which "religious extremists" threaten which "freedom loving nations", that depends on one's point of view and one's definitions of words like "extremist" and "freedom", doesn't it?

In a sense,Yes. Though I would think that the term "Liberal Conservative" would probably be a more fitting description?

Most Tyrannies are very conservative. They use their armies to suppress any trend toward provides some government protection for anyone but the financial elite. We blindingly support these thugs because they are willing to support our looting of the country's resources for their private fortunes.

The RW of this country would do the same to us if they could. They would have Government support for the rich corporatists and a rigged market for the rest of us that reliably attend the correct churches. Every one else would be left to starve.

The Right would love to make us into a CONSERVATIVE COUNTRY made in their image.

I looked at your map and the source. I can't find the word "conservative" anywhere.

And most of those orange and red countries...they are EXTREMELY conservative.
