Mr. Obama is the best gun salesman since Bill Clinton.

Not that it's a bad thing.

Perhaps he has stock in gun companies and planned all along to boost the price of his stocks.

I guess the gun industry won't be needing a bailout. I'm thinking of becoming a gun owner and it's not because I need one now but because I think the second amendment may be trashed with all of these Democrats and when I do think I need one, I won't be able to get one down the road.

Same with elective surgery. Any surgery I can wait on, may be better to have done sooner than later because I may not be able to get it when I need it.

Good clear thinking LauraC. This isn't about particular firearms or interstate commerce. This about human rights.

This is a significant help for the economy in countries like Romania , the Czech Republic and other allies which export
guns and ammunition to the US.
Over the last couple of years , the Czechs have opened a significant US market for civilian legal versions of their
service rifle.
They export modified , one shot at a time ( self-loading ) versions of the rifle that our Czech and Slovak allies
use in A-stan.
The VZ58 is also popular in Canada. ( Believe or not).

The Croats have been very good allies for years.
Tough , clean fighters with a good human rights record.

Hunters don't need assault weapons. Assault weapons are for one thing - shooting wildly from the hip.

Really?

Silly me . I thought they were , sometimes , useful for defending the innocent.

Nobody ever taught me how to shoot wildly from the hip.
