I would be very much in favor of this. Perhaps there could separate forums for Republicans, Democrats and Independants.
I also would find this helpful and interesting. Too many sub-forums would probably be silly, but it would be nice to discuss politics with people of your like mind instead of just rehashing the same old arguments day after day.
We won't be adding too many forums at once. Even if multiple sub-forums receive many votes, we'll need to see enough existing threads about these topics before they are added.
Create sub-forums for the big three moral issues of today: Guns, Gays, and Abortions. All three issues are the most polarizing in our country and receive plenty of attention. Also, perhaps create a section for political philosophy such as conservatism, liberalism, etc?
I think that gay issues have taken over Politics forum, literally. I also don't think that it is going anywhere; the whole movement is a perpetual hate machine that deserves its own sub forum.

Well perhaps if there weren't so many Americans opposed to civil rights, people like me wouldn't be "polluting" this forum.
