I couldn't agree more.

I relate to your frustration. We have a humongous flaw with that here in Oregon, in which ballot measures ~ usually sensitive/controversial ones ~ end up "thrown out of court" for being unconstitutional. I know it happened in California several years ago over the proposition regarding illegal aliens. It other words, anybody can go through the time-consuming task of gathering signatures and collecting $ to pass a measure into the ballot, but in the end it isn't "the people" who speak ~ it's courts. And THEIR decisions are usually very questionable.

So you're against judicial review?

This is probably because the majority is never supposed to vote on the civil rights of a minority. How do you think it would have gone down in Alabama in 1964?

Well, what are you going to do about it?

There is a reason "WE The People" was put into the Constitution. WE THE PEOPLE have to act... not just let the government roll over us.

The minority organizations are getting everything they want because THEY are fighting for it... the squeaky wheel!

Here is a link to all kinds of papers that state our rights...

You do not have to do this alone... there are radio stations, Internet sights about our American rights, and international programs that will help you. Most of the people shot it down and are waiting for someone to take the initiative and fight it... they will follow and help out. They need a good kick in the a$$!

Most people feel that it is a losing battle... that is why they roll over! Do not be one of those people! Our country was not founded by those kinds of people! Socialist nations are full of those kinds of people... American's died so that you could do what I am asking you to do now. FIGHT for your country!

I agree but its Relegion trying to impose its will on consenting adults who are in no way hurting anyone nor costing us a penny.

Its a shame that Relegion and ONLY Relegion is stopping adults from having the same legal rights as a man/woman marraiage.

They are not trying to force anyone to marry them in church as that is seperation of church and state .
They simply want a legal gvmt recognized marraiage with all the rights .

If you dont want them to marry in a Church-Mosque-Synagogue thats great but they should have the right to marry legally no legal reason at all why its being denied.

Just like the Religious are shoving their agenda on those that do not practice?

Its a battle were you are in the wrong so I hope it is a losing battle.
Its unreal that it is still going on but when politicians are cowards and hypocrites who say one thing and do nothing than nothing changes.

I have more respect for Palin who is against gay marriage who makes no bones about it than Biden who gives a weird long winded speech only to end it by saying that he to is against gay marriage but I disagree with both.

I hope the courts will put relegion aside and be objective. Its a civil rights issue.

Right on.

These people do not seem to be able to separate church and state. It is a government issue here - not a religious one. NO church has to marry gays - but, gays constitutionally should have the same rights as straights to marry. Religion has nothing to do with it.

And, what's the problem with redefining "marriage"? Doesn't hurt anyone. It's certainly not "sacred" - straights don't see it that way, with all the divorce, domestic abuse, etc.

People, if I married a man or a woman, how would you even KNOW about it to be upset?? I don't know who YOU are marrying, either, and I don't care.
