No. How are you affected by this apology? Dont you have to say your sorry to someone for it to be an apology? So if none of these people were around 150 years ago,what good is it?
This is Political Correctness. Maybe I should ask England apologize to my ancestors for having to leave their home country to live in an American colony over 200 years ago?
No one is being held back today because of slavery. If you werent TOLD it existed, you would have no idea because it never affected you.
Finally, how in the world does this waste of tax payer time (they need to be making laws, not resolutions) change anything? We already know slavery was wrong and is wrong, its as if it is going on today in America and they are making some sort of stand against it.
