No that is quatersexual. Quadrasexual is when you date a man or woman who has changed sex but identifies as either a very effeminate man or masculine woman or they are gender ***** which means they are the in-betweeners but do not want to revert back to the opposite sex although they consider themselves to be of opposite gender.

I also forgot to mention the OP forgot Trisexual. They will try anything

The internet is a well known refuge for homosexuals. The poll numbers are highly representative of this.

How about an option for "don't have one."

...as it is for many who feel marginalized in society.

Good observation.

Good survey, I'm sure 25% GLBT is slightly higher than present in the actual population, but in a way it shows how the GLBT community comes to CD forum and other virtual forums perhaps in search of a real more GLBT friendly community in itself is revealing about the social trends in our society.

Absolutely.

As gays become more integrated in society and there's less of a need to live in gay-specific neighborhoods, they become less visible to each other in everyday life. It's a reason why I think there's a practical purpose for gay-identified neighborhoods in big cities.

With less visibility in daily life, the internet makes it easier for gays to connect with each other.

I see this as a mixed blessing because, in some ways, it could be seen as a retreat back into "the closet".

I think it's also interesting that, even though this poll (currently) only identifies 18% as gay, some are still quite bothered by it. It's one of the reasons why I recently asked the question, "Do you wish that homoexuals would simply disappear?"

Yup, the only way homosexual sexuals would go away are if they are considered in the mainstream. In a way CD is a dysfunctional society, in no way bashing anyone, if I was, I were to bash myself ... but it seems as there are a signficant number of minorities here, not just GLBT but also people who feel as they are a minority where they reside, more specifically that they don't fit in ... just look at all the talks of some place being horrible or discrimination on every forum. In a way to resolve such a divide, institutionalized practices have been set into place, with the effects of introducing the minority population in a better light towards the mainstream population, at times positive and at times causing a back-lash ... while the simple solution has been there for ages, treat others with respect.

Another thing to consider (I just thought of this): I think that the average homosexual is less attached to family and other commitments than the average heterosexual, which gives them more time to play on the internet, so the high level of participation here on City-Data and on other sites is probably not entirely a result of feeling marginalized by society; for some, it's simply a matter of having more free time than most.

Bchris is a bigot and only cares about his own faith. He is under an illusion.

I see it in the post this person posts. They are rather sad.
