You are definitely welcome. Be advised that most American products do cost more because we actually have laws and regulations that the companies must follow.

Would you know if the raw materials are american made as well? For example I once looked at a Chevy SUV and it had an engine sourced from China and an English transmission....

Regardless, I am bookmarking as I AM interested in supporting products made in the domestically. Last I was in Hawai'i I happily paid 1/3 more for a Hawaiian shirt made locally over a cheaper Chinese made import. And my last TV I told the guy I did not care which one as long as it was Made in the USA and gasp I found a Toshiba that had a Made in the USA label (though I am not sure 100% of the contents were domestic).

Great list thank you. Farmer's markets ... generally home made and local too.

We have always tried to buy local as much as possible and it is better for one's health also.

Be warned- I know of several manufacturing companies who manufacture in Canada and send the materials across the American border for finishing and packaging.

Viola- American "made."

Better Canada than China.

Thanks Junkie!

How sad - so few links for some of those categories - what was once a great manufacturing nation is no more.

Isn't there a law that states when something can be labeled as Made in the USA?

You got that right.

Another thing...people can find out whatever they like about any company. Hell, there is no such thing as a strictly American made vehicle either.
