I caught an episode of ABCs "The View" the other day and I could not believe Rosies statements. She has really lost it and to me she is irresponsible and dangerous. Her audience on this show seem to revere her and she seems to have quite a bit of influence on these people who are probably naive politically. It is really scarey that in todays society someone whos only credentials are as a comic can wield such power and influence. It is like sheep to the slaughter. Has anyone else seen her in action recently?
I don't watch The View though. What's she been doing lately?
Well, she is saying things like President Bush is a war criminal and he should be tried at the Hague. And she is trying to instigate some march in D.C. to impeach the President. She called her co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck, the only one of the ladies that isn't a rampant liberal, ignorant when she disagreed with her views. She asked Lou Dobb's the other day when he was a guest if he thought Bush should be impeached. Dobb's wouldn't answer and she kept pushing it and finally they cut to a break. She is very militant and you are right NUTS.
I do think President Bush and Cheney have committed impeachable acts. (Anyone who thinks that convicted felon Scooter Libby isn't covering for his boss is smoking something.) That being said, I think impeaching them would be detrimental to the country right now. We just need to elect a better President in 2008. But man, the current crop of candidates sure is depressing.
Well said. I am assuming The View took her on for shock value. People who never even gave that show a second thought are now talking about it, some are tuning in to see what she does next. Good marketing ploy.
yeah great marketing but the show sure has gone down hill. I used to watch all the time, and enjoyed Rosie from time to time. But the more wacked out she gets, the less I want to see. I feel for Elizabeth. Granted she is a very smart woman, but it still must be tough for her. My guess is the show was fighting to stay on the air and so they became the female daytime version of Jerry Springer

Yes, it's all about the ratings! Hiring Rosie was a ratings boost for The View.
