i am not a muslim but to be fair, they see a lot of evil in the west, greed, lust
and godless behavior, and especially violent crime without punishment
muslims are not mad, what they are seeing is real and a threat to god fearing people.
but probably the growth of islam can be seen by the fact that the powerful that rule them dont care about the people but to some extent the mosque does, so it gives them some sort of voice.
as we too lose power and our government becomes more and more distant from us, a church with a voice may no longer seem to be an insane idea.

Hmm..using the word sex...pretty smart if you want to smear a noble person but that don't cut any ice with muslims because we know and understand the traditions of the people there at that time..maturity differs in many different ways in many communities...so using a cheap shot like that don't work
Ignorant? Muhammad was an old man when he married an 8-year old girl. Even Muslims talk about the marriage being "consummated". If you're going close your eyes to pedophilia and scream, "Lalalalalalalala!!!!!" that's your choice.

Ignorant indeed.

Whatever anyone tries to do in order to stem the rising of Islam throughout the world today is akin to trying to plug the teeny meeny miny hole in the dam wall with on'e finger whilst the rising level of the rivers feeding the dam awaits overwhelming the entire lower plains . Methaphorically speaking. The more Islam is made out to be the enemy of people who choose to be ignorant of it , no matter that they be Americans, British, Aussies, Indian Hindus or come what may , the more it will appeal to these people
In regards to Muhammad's third and favored wife, Aisha, I'll offer you the following from Wikipedia:

"According to the traditional sources, Aisha was six or seven years old when betrothed to Muhammad.[1][3][4] American historian Denise Spellberg states that "these specific references to the bride's age reinforce Aisha's pre-menarcheal status and, implicitly, her virginity."[3] She stayed in her parents' home until the age of nine, when the marriage was consummated.[1][3][4][5][6][7] The marriage was delayed until after the Hijra, or migration to Medina, in 622; Aisha and her older sister Asma bint Abi Bakr only moved to Medina after Muhammad had already migrated there. After this, the wedding was celebrated very simply. The sources do not offer much more information about Aisha's childhood years, but mention that after the wedding, she continued to play with her toys, and Muhammad entered into the spirit of these games.[8]"

Fred Phelps is not the only radical Christian. In fact, he is one of the few Christians who actually takes Biblical doctrine to its logical conclusions.

The consummation was at age 9. Until industrial times, before kids began being shipped off to work at the earliest possible age, marrying girls at menarche or on the cusp of menarche was not terribly frowned upon--not in Arabia, and not in the West. And the change, when it came, had to do with the material conditions of society, not with so-called morals. Aisha, like all other girls in that era, was not intended to be a worker or a scholar, but to be a babymaking machine. That may tell us something about the era, but it tells us very little about either Muhammad or Islam.

Any marriage is considered as legal and successful, if the three conditions hold good.
The marriage should have the blessings of one/both parents
State/Society should not take any offense and acknowledge the matrimony.
None of the spouses should live to repent or convey his/her displeasure at the decision of his/her parents/guardians to bind him/her in such an alliance, long after the marriage has taken place. The husband and wife should be happy of being married with each other, till they die.
None of the three and especially the last one, seem to have been defied or negated by the marriage of the prophet with Ayesha. I would not write too much as this is just a fourm but a little about Ayesha's maturity:

It's documented that amongst the all wives of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) Ayesha (ra) held an prominent position. Ayesha (ra) was the daughter of the first caliph of Islam Abu Bakr Siddique (ra). Ayesha (ra) married at the age of 9,12 or 19 years. Accounts vary. Ayesha (ra) was not only superior in knowledge to all the wives of the Holy Prophet (saw) but also to the various male companions of Prophet Muhammad (saw). She passed away at the age of 63 years and never once, did she complain of her marriage with the prophet neither was she displeased of her father's consent in having her married off to the Prophet(saw). Was she scared of saying so? In one of her accounts mentioned in the same book which tells her age to be around 9, she is reported to have remarked: "I looked at the full moon and compared it to the face of prophet of God and I could not decide which one was more beautiful." This is how she felt of her husband and conveyed it to others in her mature old age

So then, by all means, let's have at the 9-year old baby making machines!

Anything to defend a pedophile.

And that doesn't even begin to touch on his savage activities as a local warlord.

Do you have anything to offer aside from empty sarcasm? Why are you all flogging this dead horse about Aisha? What does it have to do with anything?
