Really? Which government agency is paying "all your expense" for the 1.2 million abortions that occur in this country each year? Which is paying for any? Under what circumstances?

For as long as one can remember, Bald Eagles have been on the Endangered Species list. In 2007, they were removed... only to have a short-time victory and return in 2008. Until humans end up on the list, more care and effort to secure the lives of Bald Eagles will be taken over a human fetus. Not to mention, we're talking about a National Symbol.
I agree. Let the stoning of us begin ! Can I hold your hand Kuharai whilst we walk through Hell-fire !? I won't even go into the ethical debate about abortion because quite frankly it is useless. Such an emotive issue and all people want to do is throw stones at those who have a different view.

Okay, see, you're undercutting your own argument to make a point about morality or something. In reality, Bald Eagles were an endangered species and there aren't that many of them. There isn't exactly a dearth of human babies. In fact, China, as you may or may not know, put a cap on how many babies are allowed. So you're comparing something that we need more of to something that we have a lot of and will never run out of.

Eagle eggs can't fly.

It is good that this was not the prevailing attitude in 1860:

"Slavery is legal.
Slavery has ALWAYS existed.
It will NOT end."

With slavery, people said that a certain race of people were lesser humans than thier race. With abortion, people say that the unborn child is a lesser human being than they are. The DNA shows that the unborn child is as much a human life as you are. Different from the mother and from any other human being on the planet.
It is easy to support abortioin if you don't regard the unborn child as human life. Realizing that it is human life is the key factor as if it human life, all of the other issues (illegal abortions, rich women flying to other countries, etc.) fade into the background. Otherwise the fetus is like a tumor or growth that can be removed and disposed of...
Since 1973 there have been 40 million legal abortions in the United States enabled and sanctioned by the government. If you believe the unborn child is a human life, that is the same as 40 million capital punishment executions. Both are wrong....

Well, not all of them, but according to the Left (PPFA) ,

"17 million needy Americans required govt-subsidized family planning services, including abortion during the previous year."

In fact, in Feb 2008, the Left (PPFA) was crying about Bush's proposed FY2009 budget, stating:

The president's proposed $500 million cut to the Social Services Block will have disastrous consequences for those who cannot afford the necessary family planning care needed.

The program was funded at $1.7 billion in FY 08 but the president proposes cutting these vital services to $1.2 billion in FY 09.

From their 2006 annual report, PPA indicates they received 1/3 of their income from Govt. grants. They also indicate they performed almost 300,000 abortions in the same year. Directly or indirectly, your tax dollars fund abortion. Maybe not 100%...but some portion.

So many Demmies...so little time.

I hate abortion debates because both sides get overly emotional, use loaded language, and end up arguing past each other.

BOTH are wrong, yes....but at least, MOST of the folks dispatched into eternity by means of capital punishment are at LEAST guilty of serious wrongdoing....those 'snuffed out' by abortion never got the CHANCE to be guilty of ANYTHING.....they were just in someone's way..or just inconvenient..

It seems pretty simple to me

Abortion= a legal medical procedure

Harming a Bald Eagle= illegal

In the eyes of the law and in mine, a Bald Eagle is worth much more than a nonviable collection of cells.

Funny how "MOST" of the folks that believe breaking the Eagle Egg is a crime, believe Killing an unborn child is OK, but war to protect the County and it's interest or the people of a Country who's leaders kill them in wholesale amounts, is bad.

Bright thing though, is that they are going to Abort themselves out of the gene pool in due time....

Total abortions since 1973 -- 38,010,378 give or take a few, that is a lot of missing Liberals voters...
