Rush Limbaugh, always decrying those who "play the victim card", has been doing just that for the last few weeks. But it was obvious from his (drug enhanced?) dance and jiggle at the CPAC conference that he relishes? craves? REQUIRES is probably the best word, attention. But now Rush is being left behind by the White House.
"Sorry Rush, you're time is up", or to quote a song from Evita, "pull up your trousers and go". The White House is working on a new target, making sure the Rs don't continue to get the best of Obama on the budget message.
Did you notice that THREE of the administration types were on the Sunday morning network shows? I guess this means that we'll start hearing back from the WH whenever an R goes on about a budget that is "loaded" (WOW, 2%!) with earmarks.
Any nice parting gifts for Rushbo?

Well, I have listened to Rush for many years (since the early '90's) and I have yet to hear him "play the victim card". You must not be listening to him, but believe everything you read about him.
What Rush has been talking about is that here we are in the middle of an economic crisis, and the President is spending time and effort going after a private citizen and demonizing him, instead of focusing on the more important issue, the economy.
Rush has actually been laughing at this, and all the attention that he is getting from it.
But Rush isn't the only one pointing out that Obama has lost focus on what is important with this obsession of his to demonize talk radio (and Republicans in general — did you hear what he said when invited to explore the Amazon?).
By-the-way, Rush got help for his drug problem many years ago. In addition, there are many people that become addicted to pain medicines, and other substances (sports "heroes" too). So if I were you, I would be careful with the cheap shots. You don't know who you might be offending.
It's like ridiculing a person who is a member of AA, or someone who is overweight (and many of you have ridiculed Rush for his weight, too) or with any other kind of disability.

It's very low class. Very tacky of you.
Must be the Oxcotin causing his laughter.Of course ,FAT people are supposed to be jolly tho' I've always heard.
What will Limbaugh (sorry; I'm not on a first-name basis with the man) do without attention? He'll just disappear. Heaven forbid that radio spot should be cancelled--it's really all he's got.

He loves the attention and is laughing all the way to the bank as is Fox News and every other conservative media. Ratings are running sky high leaving everyone else in the dust. This is the best thing that could happen to the Conservative media, $$$$$.

The drug enhanced part was completely unnecessary. If you were going for trashy, you got it. In spades. Can't say I've ever heard Obama accused of such, though he's got the drug history to back up such a claim, as well.
It's pretty obvious Rush was speaking passion at CPAC. "No teleprompter needed." (Yeah, that was a potshot at Zero.)

Quoting musicals, eh? No comment.
I have no doubt that the White House will continue on its unprecedented quest to attack private citizens who disagree with its course of action. Of course, everytime this happens, it just encourages more provocateurs to come out of the woodwork. Rush's audience has skyrocketed. The One appears quite thin-skinned, but that's not news to anyone.
