Perhaps Limbaugh should be more of your boy instead of some guy you take potshots at while never tuning in. Limbaugh absolutely took it to Republicans who bought into earmarks, has been very critical of the Bush administration, and was extremely critical of John McCain (even though he's absolutely right and absolutely not hypocritical on this issue). And for good reason, too.

I hear a lot of people criticize Limbaugh without even addressing the points the man makes or more often than not misrepresenting what he's said in the first place.
It's clear that most who criticize him, particularly those here on this forum, have never listened to him and are only parroting the words they pick up from whatever fringe media outlets they frequent. I listen to Rush every day, he makes more sense that 90% of the other windbags that clutter up the airwaves.

That being said, I disagree with him on several issues, but probably none more than SARAH PALIN. I clearly remember that within hours of the first announcement of her selection by McCain, Rush was spouting off about her like she was the second coming of Ronald Reagan. I know Sarah Palin, both from living here and I've met her personally. It's clear Rush has no idea what he is talking about on that subject and was obviously just parroting what he had heard second hand in the media as well. Sarah Palin's very first piece of major legislation as Governor was to RAISE taxes on the oil producers up here in Alaska to a point where any future investment by them in our state is highly unlikely. Rush thinks she is some great conservative thinker. She is not a conservative. She is a populist and an opportunist.

I'm not really seeing change here. Seems pretty business as usual. And believe in it? There were over 9,000 earmarks in that bill.

This is the man who said, "When I am president, I will go through line-by-line to make sure we're not spending money unwisely." So which is it? Two million dollars to study astronomy in Hawaii wasn't an earmark? Or Barack Obama didn't go through this bill line-by-line? Or is it all smoke and mirrors?

Forty percent of the earmarks were contributed by Republicans, and all of them together amounted to what, one or two percent of the bill. He's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't, because you know perfectly well that if he vetoed the bill the Republicans would be jumping up and down about him holding the government hostage to his naive idealism. Not to mention the effect it would have on the already shaky stock market to have the most important spending bills held up.

Obama was not my choice in the primaries, I disagree with him on many economic points, but it's clear that you guys are just looking for something to crucify him with, and basically any old thing will serve.

Lol... or maybe he should just say what he means and mean what he says... Of course not one single person can do that with 6 billion people fact checking each letter as they form words coming out of your mouth. You can change him in 4 or 8 years and all that will happen is the names change. The stories will be the same.

Oh no he wouldn't....the repubs would bow down and worship at his feet....their "god" is Wealth and he is wealthy! Their "god" is hate and he sure can hate!

I think he is the perfect representative of the repubs.
Intolerance , short-sightedness, hatred, *********r fellow man, put the poor in ovens, make the middle class pay all the taxes so the bloated wealthy can be free to get wealthier, turn women into breeding cattle (if you can force them to have babies you can force them to have a certain number by certain people and can tell them when they CAN'T have babies...total control).
We'd save money on diplomats and peace talks(just nuke anyone who doesn't agree or fall in line), we'd save money on health care (only the wealthy need to be healthy anyway), save money on infrastructure(the wealthy fly everywhere), shut down the libraries, and close down police and fire departments...save money by using the military for all that stuff...etc.

Yup, Rush is PERFECT representative of Repubs.

Amen. Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Be accountible. Sounds good but...it seems to me that hypocracy goes with the job. It certainly does not appear to be a partisan thing. Remember "No new taxes"? I think that came out of both Bushes' mouths shortly before we experienced more taxes. And "I did not have sexual relations with that (girl) woman." Yeah right. If BJs were not sex, then I'd think more guys would be getting them on the way home from work. I'm just saying...

And this wikipedia, "fact" verification, done as BigJon says "as they form words coming out of your mouth", is a dubious process. Much of it true but much of it suspect. Too much information spun at hyperspeed often into an indecipherable puree. Too much information that should be filed under the "baffle them with bull****" category.

He is a recovering addict who spouts off nonsense to make money. If you really care about him then he affects you. If not, who cares? Would you listen to the recovering crackhead down the street if he started giving political advice?

Default Rush claimed he hated the attention, what'll he do without it?

Rush Limbaugh, always decrying those who "play the victim card", has been doing just that for the last few weeks. But it was obvious from his (drug enhanced?) dance and jiggle at the CPAC conference that he relishes? craves? REQUIRES is probably the best word, attention. But now Rush is being left behind by the White House.

"Sorry Rush, you're time is up", or to quote a song from Evita, "pull up your trousers and go". The White House is working on a new target, making sure the Rs don't continue to get the best of Obama on the budget message.

Did you notice that THREE of the administration types were on the Sunday morning network shows? I guess this means that we'll start hearing back from the WH whenever an R goes on about a budget that is "loaded" (WOW, 2%!) with earmarks.

Any nice parting gifts for Rushbo?
