Marijuana: legalized and taxed. It's downright stupid not to do it.
Other drugs: remain illegal.
Why only marijuana?
I think all drugs should be legalized and taxed. That would go a long way toward solving money woes in this country
It would also do alot to stop the violence at the Mexican border and in our streets
Pot legalized only would only bring in a certain amount of tax revenue but would do little to free up jail overcrowding since very few are in for selling or using pot
I would like to see marijuana legalized. I believe if taxed and regulated it would have less negative impact than alcohol now does. God put certain plants and foodstuffs on this earth for our freedom to choose their benefit or ills. It it's something that need s to be more than just dried like parsley then it is drug production.
Coca, chat, coffee, and even poppies can be tolerated by the human body in SMALL doses in their NATURAL state. Distilling, processing and further alteration to simplify them to the most potent ingredients, to a large extent, is what's killing us. But since many of these substances are so potent I suggest that just marijuana can truly be controlled.
People don't beat their wives and rob convenience stores when they're high on weed. They might wreck a car or hurt themselves or others with large machinery, thus the regulation.
Legalize it, get it out of the hands of the vicious criminals and suck in the new tax revenue. Lord knows we can use it!
As the mother of a recovering addict, I say legalize and tax it. Use the tax money for treatment centers for those who wish to stop using. Many addicts want to quit but there are no affordable facilities available.
