The Patriot Act is designed to remove the remaining privacy of individual citizens of this country and give the government to power to arrest on mere suspicion of improper speech or political action. It is the law that allows some government political agent to walk up to a citizen and ask for papers. "Papers Please" and if you do not have them you will go to a political prison.

I objected to this bill when it was proposed and object to it now. It must be repealed if we are to protect our civil rights under our constitution. It has not and will not help protect any of us from foreign terrorism. It will only be used to aid and abet the domestic terrorism of parts of our own government.
Well said. I agree wholeheartedly.

Mind clarifying? This statement is so outside the realm of reality and sanity, it is amazing.

That's why UBL has been hiding in a cave the last 6 years? Why his soldiers have been decimated in Iraq and elsewhere? Why his second in command has lamented on tape the precarious predicament they are in.

The US and other nations have been able to prevent/disrupt plenty of attacks - thanks to the patriot act and other tools given to the intelligence agencies by bush.

The reason the attacks have stopped is due to the aggressive, offensive, brutal, effective tactics by the US (under bush), in hunting down, killing, capturing the leadership of AQ.
