Why should he be allowed to stay on, when others have been forced to leave? Yes, President Clinton stayed on, but he was greatly harmed by it, and he never judged others in like situations. Ensign is in no place to judge others while his own character is lacking. The whole speck of dust and log in the eye, don't cha' know!
lets see....John Kennedy wasnt forced to leave because of his playing around....neither were F.D.Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, Teddy Kennedy etc etc etc....they ones that WERE forced out tried to lie when confronted.....or used additional govt finds to pay their hookers.
Certainly not the first, and certainly not the last. BUT, if he were to run for higher office, he'd rather have the dirty laundry aired now and let bygones be bygones instead of letting his opponent have "breaking news" ammunition that could cripple his candidacy. By the time he runs for higher office (if he were to do so), this will be old irrelevant fodder.
That doesn't make any sense....If a politician is so concerned that their qualifications is based upon them keeping it in their pants, then they should keep it in their pants....I could care less who is screwing who as long as they could do the job..
WASHINGTON — Republican Sen. John Ensign of Nevada has stepped down from his leadership post one day after admitting he carried on a marital affair with a woman who was on his campaign staff.
Why would you or any lib care? Wasn't your high priest president getting his knob shlopped in the oval office by someone other than his wife? Or, (more likely) is it just a bad thing when it's someone not in your party?
I wouldn't be so quick on that Dukester. He could easily claim to have "exercised humility back in 2009" if/when he aspires to higher office. It wouldn't surprise me if this is a very calculated maneuver to go ahead and rid himself of the stigma now instead of when/if those political aspirations ever come to fruition.
So you are saying that Larry Craig has a chance for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination too?
