Of course now that he can see where public opinion is, he will take a stand like it's what he believed all along.
The guy was known for voting present, not for taking a position or breaking partisan ranks because of a strong belief system.

where does it say that this is the public opinion?

and is the situation in iran now better that Obama said that? did the leaders of Iran decide to have new election?

Why would that be a knock on Republicans? If he's "toughening his rhetoric," wouldn't that show that he thought his previous rhetoric wasn't tough enough?
