why oh why did we elect bozo the clown to be president. it's so freaking embarrassing. he is speaking for the world now? this is the reason the world laughs at us. that, and paris hilton.
No he was saving, at almost all cost, the ability to talk without pre-conditions. The entire rest of the world that was paying attention got it before he was willing to let go of his ideology. Another very clear glimpse inside of the mind of a narcissist. Even people in his own cabinet, with much more experience, were like ...
Which people inside his own cabinet were shocked? Link, please.
So, in your view, Obama should have ignored the counsel he received from Iranian experts, Iranian-Americans, and the Iranian resisters themselves? Please. If Obama had spoken up forcefully "from the get-go," you'd all be screeching about how unsophisticated he is in terms of diplomacy. Transparent. Sorry.

The world only laughed at us during the Bush years. It's not laughing now.
468 people counting 1 vote per 1 second would equal 80,000,000 votes in 2 days not 2 hours. It would take 11,111 people counting votes for 2 hours with 1 vote counted per 1 second. Sound democratic to you?

Thank you congress and my president for telling the world how you feel.
When you done telling the world how terrible it is to crack down on protesters I will remember that when this country revolts against you.

actually, they are laughing harder than ever. we elected bozo to be american idol. doesn't get much more embarrassing than that. we are a national laughing stock and a disgrace.
So what branch of the military did You serve in? You ready to fight and die for Iran? Sorry but we are not the worlds police nor is the unrest in Iran our business to deal with, it was their election and they need to sort the issue out without outsiders being involved.
Casper
America has acted as the "police" to the world for quite a while now.
America has the history of supporting liberty all over the world. Jimmy Carter had a problem with this and so does Barry.
where does it say that this is the public opinion?
and is the situation in iran now better that Obama said that? did the leaders of Iran decide to have new election?
I would say yes.
A tyranical regime is behaving...well...tyranically. The most powerful and prestigous official in the world has spoken out and that puts the spotlight on the thugs and brings their actions further out into the view of the world. Rather than acquiese and remain timid, Obama has helped to insure that these thugs know others do not accept their actions as legitimate. He has helped to make their horrid behavior part of history. To remain silent indicates there is nothing to protest.
Slightly late in the game, but I applaud Obama. Well said Mr President. This right-wing, half-crazed, quasi-Neocon-who-never-voted-for-Bush salutes you.
No. What it says is that Obama is so preoccupied with his popularity and opinion polls that he'll fence sit until his approval rates drop or criticism increases, then he adjusts tactics.
Would have been nice if he would have used his gift for gab A WEEK AGO instead of now....
EXACTLY. HE DOES WHAT HE DOESN'T WANT TO DO ONLY BECAUSE HIS DEAR 'RATINGS' ARE SHOWING A RESPONSE....WHAT A FAKE.

well-said. He's a joke.
