so? what are you implying? that thread topics involving political discussion should reflect their population %???
I'm implying that some of the posters here obviously care to much about the sexual orientation of individuals, could it be because they are gay and they let their sexual preferences rule their life to no end?

Dont recall saying anything close to shut up, I do recall questioning though my response above. Can an argument be made that gays care more about "sex" than anything else? Judging from reading these postings I'd say yes..

Dah, but I dont see to many non-gays starting theads asking about sex, unless of course they are concerned with some Republicans sex life..

Nope, doesnt seem like you'll ever get it, because those who proclaim that its just a sexual orientation and what goes on behind closed doors being a private matter, sure do seem to be obsessed with peoples sexual preference..
In this forum, we discuss news stories and controversial issues. You shouldn't be surprised to see a high number of discussions about gay-related issues.
I'm surprised because individuals who proclaim that what goes on behind closed doors is their own business, sure seems to be preoccupied with making it everyone elses business..
Well, that is a little different. Christianity is not considered a deviant or alternative lifestyle.
I doubt most Americans would have predicted that we'd see a mulatto President either.

lol... Bush was a liberal? Interesting that a liberal would cut taxes for the wealthy, spend more on defense than any President in history, go on a witch hunt for adult pornographers, and propose an amendment to the Constitution to ban same-sex marriage.

So would a pedophile be okay?
What a terrible comparison. Being gay is not illegal; having sex with kids is.

How about a cross dresser?
J. Edgar Hoover was apparently a cross-dresser. I would have no problem with a cross-dresser as President if he or she could do the job.
How do you think this would impact the ability of the gay president to conduct foreign policy? Think about that one very carefully, as a gay president would not be given much credence by many governments around the world.
Same could have been said about a black president, and the same could be said about anyone who is a minority.

We're discussing news stories, not our personal lives. If we happen to mention a same-sex relationship, it's no different than a heterosexual mentioning a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, or wife.

So, you're equating a pedophile with a cross dresser???
Well, gee willikers. What is more to the point -- and certainly more interesting -- is how many gay men the American people have already elected president. I'd bet on Buchanan. Any others?
And does anyone really give a damn?
p.s. Wouldn't this be a great topic to initiate a Gay Issues Forum so that such perspectives didn't work their way into damn near every thread on THIS board, thanks to a few dedicated followers of fashion?
I think atheism should be a requirement for the presidency....certainly speaks to a person's critical thinking skills....
Absolutely.
