Your perception that only inbreds would like to keep their right to bear arms is outrageous and ignorant. I know many people that live in metropolitan areas that own guns and enjoy going to ranges to shoot.

Saying you only have gun rights if you are in a militia is like saying you can only vote if you are in a certain party, worship in an organized religion or speak in a recognized forum.
The Amendment clearly intends to preserve the states ability to raise a militia by preserving an individual right to keep & bear arms. No place does it say thats its limited to a militia. To rational people thats a simple thing to understand because a militia cannot exist if the people are denied acess to arms.
As far as the idea that this shows bravery on the part of Obama thats ridiculous. It shows his lack of understanding of the job he was elected to perform and an inability to comprehend the limitations placed on him by the constitution. In short the man is a simpleton.

You need a license and registration and insurance to drive a car....why not guns?
You dont need a license, registration or ins to buy or own a car. Its used on public streets & is undoubtedly much more dangerous than a gun so you need those things to operate it in public.

Owning or carrying a gun is in no way similar to operating a car in public.
