Maybe I responded earlier. Haven't been back on the politcal scene because of personal reasons. Anyway, I lived oversees for many years and almost lost my daughter to socialized medicine. That is why we moved back to the States. A simple operation in the States they waited until her appendix bursted. She was in ICU for 10 days not sure if she would still make it. I called the military base and paid and had an American Doctor bring American drugs to this hospital and she starated to show life almost immediately. YOU DO NOT WANT FREE HOSPITALIZATION. Her bill was about the price of one emergency room visit in the States when she was in ICUthere for 10 days. I'd pick the high price of the old USA and have my love one alive then a almost free price and have to pay for a burial.

This has been debunked as BS in several other threads.
we need tort reform. high cost of malpractice insurance drives up defensive medicine and unnecc testing and cost of insurance for everybody!! but tort reform will never be addressed in 2000 pages of the health reform bill b/c plaintiff attorneys are one of the biggest contributing groups to the democratic party.
I believe that health care should never be in the pervue of the federal goverment. that same goverment should never offer any type of health care at all.
I also believe that malpractice law suits should be limited.
if a doctor does something wrong while treating you then fine, sue him.
but if a doctor give medical advice and you dont follow it, then you have no one to blame but yourself, not the doctor.
medicaid, medicare and any goverment health care should never be provided for, nor taxed upon.

When I was a blue color worker, the owners have health care for their office workers but said no to us. Most of us made well below $10 an hour and could not afford to see a doctor. I for one waited for hours at a New York state clinic just see a doctor. For the lowest working class, health care is needed.
