I agree. I am not innocent of partisan posts but I do not get my knowledge from partisan sources. And I have many posts that pummel the GOP for their acceptance of neoconism.

This issue is far more divisive than political party affiliation.

People need better educated on the main issues and need to understand that one party is as bad as the other. A politician is a politician. Look at people like Arlen Spector. They have no party loyalty so why should we? We need to clean house and get rid of all of them and cap term limits - no more career politicians. No more lobbyists.

The Conservative ideology goes against everything I believe in. I hate organized religion with a passion, who am I to stop someone from having an abortion, it is none of my business anyways.

I hate this whole "pro-corporation" ideology, in my experience, corporations are some of the most screwed up, most evil institutions I can think of and they will always $crew you over, no matter how good of a worker you are.

This whole talk about "family values" gets on my nerves, most of these Republicans that are always talking about God, Jesus and similar type of BS are some of the most rotten, hypocritical, dysfunctional people you can meet. On top of all this, it is a very anti-intellectual party, they are supported mainly by Southern hillbillies that have absolutely no education. Just by looking at some of the GOP supporters here, you can tell that overall they are very uneducated, their spelling is horrible and they will use words like "loose" instead of "lose".

In addition, because I have travelled all over the world, it would be very hard for me to pretend to be a small town, provincial ignoramus who thinks that America is the best place in the world, yet they have never been to any other places. Basically, the whole ideology is very anti-intellectual in nature

If you think about it, some of the most influential GOP/Conservatives voices today are people who are not even competent enough to get a college education (Beck, Limbaugh and Hannity). I would feel embarassed to be part of this group since it is mainly composed of losers.

That's a whole lot of stereotyping from someone who considers himself a 'world traveler' and who should know better than to pigeonhole people.

OMG - Is this a bait and switch? Look at your first message and then look at this one. I don't think there's any hope of reconciliation between the Dems and Pubs. The level of hate has escalated too much. The post that best describes any effort of reconciliation though is the one above that says it would help in the relationship if we all realized that no politician is loyal.

for only 10% of the 2009 deficit, like the CBO data shows.
It does not show that, at all.

Based on what you have in your status, "Rush is a smart man"- GOP Genius" there is your answer. Rush, Hannity, FoxNews are all out to divide the country.

"I have really tried to understand the Conservative/GOP side, I listen to Conservative talk show radio all day long and I still do not agree with just about any of their ideas."

A lot of people are coming to the same conclusion. Talk radio has morphed into something that many have found more offensive than informative.
Every time I listen to Hannity's intro for his show on FoxNews I envision some kind of dark sinister cult like reprogramming that is kind of scary. Then his show is nothing more than people agreeing with his ranting, and sometimes one person with opposing views that he and the others shout over and don't allow them to voice their opinions. He's a moron.
