When Prudhoe Bay produced 20% of all the domestic oil in the US it is hardly irrelevant. But I have no doubt you will continue to believe this fiction like so many other fantasies that you regularly adhere. It further reinforces the stereotype of ignorant liberals.
When 20% doesn't make up for the aggregate decline it sure as hell isn't relevant.
If production on aggregate declines by 30% adding 20% still leaves a deficit of 10%.

Now when you can come up with data disputing the EIA graph tracking the history of crude oil production that clearly reenforces the position that peak oil production peaked in the mid 70's post it. Until then leave the lame attempts at insults to someone who can add or read a graph.

No, I haven't noticed that. Every year, car companies seem to find ways at getting more horsepower per cubic inch.
Compacts seem the same size. Midsize seems the same. SUVs are still big. Two-ton pickups still have a two-ton payload rating.

Our entire selection is being modified for the worse in my opinion.
I don't know how old you are but from where I sit automobiles have done nothing but get bigger and bigger. The fact that now some are being made smaller, and smarter is a direct result of that. Once we got a military vehicle being sold as personal transportation (Hummer) there was really nowhere else to go but down in size.
