If these same individuals were really interested in a small less intrusive government Ron Paul not John McCain would have garnered the parties vote and been the Republican Presidential Nominee. I was a strong Ron Paul supporter and a remember trying to get a lot of my friends who were either Obama or McCain supporters on the bandwagon and they refused.

Now 8 months later when they did not vote for the Candidate that was preaching small government they complain about the government expanding???

This is why these anti-Obama individuals will be exposed for who they truly are and it is shameful and a step in the wrong direction. If they were so passionate about small government why the f**K did they vote for John McCain and not Ron Paul???????????? I'm an agry libertarian who would have been happy to see Paul as president, so i cannot stand the lying that is coming from the neo-cons in reference to health care. They do not give two craps about small government or health care, they only care about stopping the president, which is stupid. It is ok to disagree, but to try by intimidation and force is pushing the line with me. I can tell you the republican party is alienating themselves and will be lucky if they are ever able to carry the youth vote or new immigrant vote. I do not have respect for either party in general, but the republicans are making themselves out to be the party of hate and I cannot condone such behavior no matter how much i hate far left socialist in the democratic party. Geez, they have no idea how shameful they look on tv at night yelling like a bunch of freaking inbreeds, it makes me sick, and the older people that are doing it just help validate the awful stereotype they are a bunch of uneducated racist. It is making me sick~!

I remember I wore a Ron Paul tee-shirt to the mall, i had a ton of people come up to me and say great shirt man! Then when i asked are you going to vote for him 90% of them said no, because i have to stick with one of the bigger two guys int he parties, he has no chance. I'm like well duh if you're going to continue to vote along party lines for the other two candidates, so my point is that people talk a good game, but when it comes time to put up, they are truly not interested in limiting the size of government.

I like Ron Paul's message in principle, but when it comes down to it, we do like to have roads, police, infrastructure, that sort of thing.

Municipalities do all that you mention with their own microeconomy. Don't like how yours is run? Move somewhere else without having to expatriate from the country. Get DC central command out of all these things and focus on a core military to protect borders and prevent direct invasion in addition to maintaining a judicial branch.

It's all about power. No one who matters in DC cares about you.

Funny you mention that, because I used to actually be one of Mr. Paul's constituents. And municipalities do get state and federal funds for certain infrastructure.

Default Shoulda coulda woulda

Ah yes, I remember prior to the election the same thing. If all these
morons would have gotten it together and did the SMART thing we could
possibly be on a much straighter road to recovery. All the people who
are still fighting the Bush is better, Obama is better war are wasting there
time and future. The media leads the sheep so well!! The same idiots
who are always using the phrase tin foil hats are the ones who are
absolutely clueless and in the way of recovery. Those of us who know
what's up will be climbing over them on the way to getting our country
back. There are some smart people in that group, don't get me wrong,
they just aren't smart about politics and the way of the world. I must
admit everyday I see Obama and hillary fans, and even bush fans, eyes
opening to "What is REALLY going on".

I can tell you that had Ron Paul been the Republican candidate that I would have voted for him... Your assessment is spot on with my own which is why I have abandoned the Republican Party...
