I voted Hell No, (not saying he truly plans this or not) for the simple fact that this is how Hitler/Stalin/Marx, etc... started. Take note, I am not calling Obama Hitler etc, I am stating that any politician that tries this will be following the same path that those sociopaths followed.

Are you saying that Obama did not say what he said? It was all over the news as well when he said it (at least the non socialist news). Why would he say something as crazy as that if he did not believe it or intend to implement it?

I posted a link to the entire speech. Why don't you listen to it. You'll than hear the statement in context to what he was referring. Taking tidbits of any convesation can be taken out of context, just like this 'civilian army' portion of his discussion about volunteerism. He wasn't talking about taking up arms, he was talking about helping your neighbors/your community/your country.
Next thing I expect to see is a thread about is the Red and White Armys swarming into disaster areas of the country with the goal of taking over your lives/homes/jobs while the communities are at their most vulnerable. I write, of course, about the Red Cross and Salvation Army.
The Civilian National Security Force that Obama wanted just as well funded as our military was made in a July 2, 2008 speech given in Colorado Springs, CO. I am not sure if he was suffering from Rocky MT fever or properly changed his mind, but I haven't heard much since then.
Do you know if he listened to the entire speech or did he just take the few seconds you posted out of context to feed the hysteria of the ravenous right? I'm guessing the second.
It's highly suspect you only post a 10 sec clip and not the entire speech. Obama has longed talked about involving the American People in the tasks ahead of us. One of the failures of the Bush Adm.. After 9/11 W told Americans to go shopping. A huge missed opportunity to engage the American People who wanted to something, anything to help their country. The speech is about volunteerism, expanding Americorps, the Peace Corps, Energy Corps and a host of other ways Americans can give back to their country to make it a better place.
It seems you have been exposed as manipulating what Obama actually said. (aka lying) Will the fear tactics and lies by the Right ever end?

Not sure where you might find it now, but I suggest you get a copy of 'Change We Can Believe in" (which lays out all of the ideas from the campaign) and read pages 152-159. The FEMA thing is EXACTLY what he's talking about.
