Words in my mouth? Kindly show where I said any such thing. You are redirecting.
I said that as long as any American citizen is in need, we are not in the black and do not have a balanced budget then we can't afford foreign aid.
Thats foreign aid of any kind.
How does that equate to luxury?

Uh....if you are unemployed and have no home because of the economy, joining the Peace Corps for a couple years could actually be a good option for a lot of people.

Hey - I heard that Obama wants to force all Whites into slavery. It must be true because I just typed it, just like ProudCapMarine.

Actually that is not far from wrong.

The following is from the full speech, but you would have to listen or read the full speech to know that.

People of all ages, stations, and skills will be asked to serve. Because when it comes to the challenges we face, the American people are not the problem – they are the answer. We’ll send more college graduates to teach and mentor our young people. We’ll call on Americans to join an Energy Corps to conduct renewable energy and environmental cleanup projects in their neighborhoods. We’ll enlist veterans to help other vets find jobs and support, and to be there for our military families. And we’ll also grow our Foreign Service, open consulates that have been shuttered, and double the size of the Peace Corps by 2011 to renew our diplomacy. And we’ll use technology to connect people to service. We’ll expand USA Freedom Corps to create an online network where Americans can browse opportunities to volunteer. You’ll be able to search by category, time commitment, and skill sets; you’ll be able to rate service opportunities, build service networks, and create your own service pages to track your hours and activities. This will empower more Americans to craft their own service agenda, and make their own change from the bottom up.

Obama and his civilian army a cherished topic that one of these right wingers or another will drag up from time to time, and the July 2 speech has to be quoted and explained to them. Then they abandon the conversation until the next time Glenn or Rush brings it up.

And O welly well, speaking of which~! This is dated Aug 27 and is "by" guess who!

Barack Obama's Civilian Army - Glenn Beck - FOXNews.com

and it's the same old lame twist, plus heavy reliance on the Faux "readers" and viewers to not only be stupid but to have short memories.

I see also Glenn pulled a trick from months and months ago -- with a straight face, deliberately misrepresented Biden's oafish reference to the next president facing a challenge, later down the transcript page. This is an old one, debunked by military professionals long ago. How stupid does Faux think you all are?

The kool aide drinkers have their heads so buried in the sand, they don't WANT to see these videos.

I'm surprised I haven't seen a post like " It's Bush's fault" or now that Kennedy is dead they can say " Kennedy wanted this Army".

I just shake my head in disbelief of the things that come out of the Obama's supporters mouths.
