Republicans will repeal healthcare reform legislation if they win control of Congress because of that bill, a key Republican pledged late Sunday.

The health bill is "dead on arrival" in Congress, said Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas), the ranking member of the House Energy and Commerce committee, said during an interview on Fox News.

Very smart political move. The Obamacare bill is not popular. This statement is the very thing that is scarying the hell out of the moderate Democrats who fear getting tossed out in the upcoming elections.

Obama is being outmatched at every step of this process.

Now bring on the idiotic Cap n Trade...

Great..So basically, once people finally get an affordable healthcare option, the Pubs are going to threaten to snatch it back..Can you imagine them doing the same to Medicare or VA medical? If they do that, they're TOTALLY done. This is just another scare tactic in a series of many.

Unfortunately, American's STILL do not know what the healtcare bills are proposing. They've heard the taglines and headlines, but the details are still murky to the average American. My point? Democrats are hurting themselves by not selling the entire package. Those people on the fence are easily coerced by the opposition because of the complete failure of the left to completely, and wholly sell their product. When in doubt, kill it - that's the attitude of American's right now. I'm very surprised that the liberal left has not steadfastly held to a marketing plan to alleviate as much doubt as possible. Instead, they refer to the opposition as Nazi's. Who can expect anything productive with such ill contempt towards the constituency? The left continues to shoot itself in the foot (not surprisingly) with no end in sight.

This is just silly. They'll repeal the health care bill. How? They'd have to pass legislation to do that. And how would they get the President to sign it into law? Even if they win control (a longshot), they wouldn't win enough seats to override a veto. This is manipulation of voters, and what's sad is that it depends on voters not understanding the process in the legislature.

No, it's a very effective political strategy with the 2010 elections looming. Polling indicates a majority of Americans don't want Obamacare, a vast majority don't want ANY increased government spending but rather tax cuts. Harry Reid, the majority leader of the liberalized Democrat Senate is down 10 points to his Republican opponent.

This is hard nosed conservative politics - the kind that liberals have never truly been able to pull off. Obama has come off repeatedly as weak, uncertain, and increasingly aloof. A 42% approval rating is a clear reflection of that overall decline.

There is a clear conservative shift underway in America - and now is no time to play safe with that shift. DRIVE IT HOME.

They don't understand the process in the legislature, and that's what their leadership is counting on!

As you can tell from many of the posts in this forum, not many do understand the process.

I guess I owe you a Coke. Make it a fruit juice, since Coke is so bad for people.
