The stunningly stupid don't really need much in the way of truth, logic or common sense, to get them fired up against such a non-issue.

You can't fix "stupid".

The left wingers miss the point again as usual. I am sure everyone here will agree that education starts in the home, so why isn't the President addressing parents to become more involved in their child's schooling? Why not start there and say that we all need to get together and work on setting goals for kids to learn? Wouldn't that be more "unifying" and encouraging for parents to actually care about what their own kids are being taught?

And I love how many lefties conveniently forget that this speech was changed even when the conservatives point it out to them.

But again, address the parents and have them get involved, that is the most important thing in a child's education.

Its not about the speech and how many times he said "I" its about people never admitting that he is the President of the United States and it doesn't matter what he says, doesn't say or was he does or doesn't do he will never have these people's approval and they will have a reason to put him down even if its as stupid as the times he said "I" in his speech.

Of course he did.

Schools already indoctrinate children in left wing socialist ideaology. During the first day of school every student shows up with their school supplies that their families were suppose to purchase for them such as pencils, erasers, notebooks, rulers, etc. Of course not all of the students show up with the same items and not in the same quantities. Some students even show up without any school supplies. The first thing the teacher will do is take everyone's supplies and put them in the same place for all of the students to share equally.

How terrible! Really, though, would you keep your voice down so that teachers for the other side don't get in trouble for teaching students any books that could be construed as espousing anti-socialist ideologies...like Animal Farm...or The Giver...or 1984...or Anthem...or...never mind.

That's your opinion, and you're certainly entitled to it. But I haven't seen one ounce of proof (like a link to the "original" speech) that the President changed the speech.

So, where is the original speech? Any link? Anything?

It has happened before, maybe we'll get the first version.

That's one way to spin it.

No, that won't work ... "maybe we'll get the first version" is meaningless unless someone can prove - via a link - that a "first version" actually exists.

So far, no one has been able to do it.

It is clear that the suggested classroom activities were changed. It's clear that the FAQs posted on the Department of Education's website were updated. And it is clear that the one and only "version" of the President's speech has been released.
