If the most recent global warming peaked in 1998, then since 1998 we have experienced changes in the global climate, right? I mean if something peaks, then that means that changes occurred after that point. So, since we are talking about anticipating future changes, and not preventing those future changes, what are you trying to say? That we shouldn't anticipate change?

Just a Reminder: The fact that a car has been travelling down a windy, curvy road does not mean that unmistakeable signs that it is veering off into a ditch should be ignored.

We can't prevent all forest fires. We find it beneficial to prevent man caused forest fires and mitigate naturally caused forest fires. Simple simple concept.

Your question about "stopping" climate change requires that all of us accept the premise that that is a reasonable goal. None of us have accepted that premise.

I answer the question that you would have asked if you were smart enough to know the issue.

You have not shown how we humans can "stop" climate change.

Regardless of who does and doesn't accept the premise.

The issue to me is that climate change is a possibility.

Does this mean you are in doubt? IF IF IF IF means something, as in another possibility.
