He has also achieved support in reducing nuclear weapons ahead of next years meeting - pretty good I'd say.

What you don't get is that Obama is still very popular outside the United States but the constant barrage of mindless criticism from the right wing nuts in America is weakening the President domestically - and this will certainly lead to a weakening globally, as world leaders won't rally behind a domestically weak President. IMO Obama is addressing real problems both domestically and internationally, and with the right support could do great things.
what american conservatives understand is that obama is promoting a "new world order" at the expense of america. this health care plan is a health care tax, just as cap and trade is an energy tax, both being foisted onto a public which does not yet understand what obama is actually doing.

here is a good breakdown on the health care tax:OBAMACARE: TAXES FOR EVERYONE at DickMorris.com

Maybe the conservatives have a difficult time understanding the concept of a civilized nation, much rather preferring the previous administration's attitude that we (conservatives) are always right about everything all the time. That other people (and nations) are just dirt that deserve little more than contempt.

Reading some of the posts one can get the impression of typical right wing black and white attitudes; one either chooses to bomb other nations or "embrace them". Could it be that more possibilities exist?
Right wingers prefer brutal force as opposed to diplomatic skills, probably because the latter requires intelligence. Any brute can use his fists as a method of persuasion.
I find it remarkable that the right wingers even have the capacity for embarrassment. That's an emotion. It seems that the only emotions right wingers are capable of are little more than selfish arrogance and hatred for others.

WRONG! Eisenhower got us in Vietnam.

Obama's done NOTHING wrong in admitting America's made mistakes. The ONLY people/countries who claim no mistakes are liars or those who've done NOTHING.

WHAT a load of steaming crap!

You've already demonstrated you pay NO attention to what's actually going on by whining about Obama's barrage balloon decisions, you typical MO is:

"OBAMA'S WRONG!

What are we talking about?"

To some people, the word "Peace" has a negative, almost abrasive connotation. They seem to have an addiction to perpetual conflict. The US sent a drone guided by remote control from Creech ?, and it killed 8 sleeping children ? They love that kind of thing. Makes them feel "on the side that's winning." You know, the brave US "smokin' them out" and "getting them on the run" from the "phallo drone." (how can you run when you are sound asleep ?)

I read Polish papers and that's not true. Isreal works a lot with Russia who
had been promoting nuclear tech to Iran so thats not true. I listen
and read UK papers so thats not true.

sighs... Why Republicans listen to above direction and not read on the
internet I don't know. We do not need to be continiously ignorant
regarding international affairs that touch our life.

If Bush could have bomb Iran's reactor he would have because Cheny
sure wanted too. So we HAVE to work that angle by influence
which means relationships with other nations ... called Sanctions.

If you realize that then why do you expect Obama to do what Bush
couldn't do? We can't be that naive... Republicans I mean.

Republicans must deal with truth if Republicans are going to assert
their place in the nation's life. False propaganda will not work in this
age because even kids can read foreign newspapers now and listen
to foreign broadcasts and have foreign friends to debate with.

Republicans should be paying attention to the going ons at the G-20.

Republicans should be tying decisions from such bodies to our
domestic directions and become leaders again.

Republicans should speak at how economic policies are co-ordinated
with Global policies decided by Global bodies THEN debate if this is in
America's best interest.

If Republicans gain the White house, we too would be needing to
understand Global co-operation and work on such a level.

Republicans should be discussing if protectionism is a viable option at
this time in national life. If it isn't how do we get jobs for the people...

Why are we wasting time on senseless issues that have little to do
with what's going on Globally. Why not educate other Republicans
on the way the world works in this 21st century?

There is a gap that gives Democrats and Liberals time to educate their
people to new world realities while Republican will find themselves
still stuck in 20th century politics. We must upgrade our perspective
and Obama has little to do with that. Tell that truth to our people and get
going.

I do not accept Obama message was apologetic so that very premise
is faulty. He was persuasive in order to influence other countries
toward a co-operation that our nation need to futher any agenda
AMERICA will need to have in the immediate future. An AMERICA
that the Republican hopes to inherent and guide in this 21st century...

So offer an alternative plan how we can influence other nations
that would encourage them to listen to you... What would you
have said that would have made them hear you out... That is
constructive and help teach the young how to win on the
international stage. See what i mean?

Decisions affecting domestic life are made on the Global stage, not
the national one. The keys were given to the Global stage when we
fooled the world under Bush with our economic practices or lack of them,
regarding risk practices and selling crooked instruments.

So the days of national politics are fast going away. Now I ask
Republicans the following...

For instance, how would you co-ordinate a global effort that would
be good for America's job market?

I'm expecting this kind of dialogue and direction to come out of the
Republican party, not more leftist-like boohaha about Obama.

Engage in a much worthier argument if you need to argue that
will move our nation forward and excite young Conservatives and
Republicans.

We want you to be worthy again on a worldwide level. why wait for
what newt tells you. You can put something together on your own
I bet.

Our politicians are weighted down with lobbied obligations
etc and are not free to speak without considering those deals... they
need you the people to assert a direction and then they can run with it
without insulting their connections.

Continue this way and risk young people closing their ears totally
to what we can learn from you.

Some people will disregard everything that doesn't boost their views. Therefore, the right is always right, about everything all the time, and everything anyone else says to the contrary is always wrong.
