Now what ever happened to local control of schools? One would think that if the majority of parents are fine and dandy with whatever occurred in their schools, that should be enough on this issue. Or am I to be lead to the impression that all that local government stuff is dependent upon the political circumstances?

You mean, your "Republicrat" friend. Don't be surprised. Now you are seeing that both parties are on the same side, and we the people are on the other.

Default There is a lot of suspicious things about this.

Copies of the skit lyrics were sent home to parents before as per "standard policy?" Since when did this become standard policy? Were the parents required to sign and return consent forms? Do the forms still exist to prove the school's official story? Why is there a blackout on this story by the school then? Why is the school system blocking media cooperation now?

There were no complaints 7 months ago? But now suddenly, when the video surfaces...

And the teacher just happened to not be pictured in the video? Even though it was posted on the website of the visiting pro-Obama author for whom the skit was performed? But we don't know who shot the video, and we don't know who posted it, even though it poses legality issues of the privacy of the kids?

And the performance was an encore performance that had been given earlier presumably with the knowledge and consent of the parents and the principal? But now, all of a sudden, an investigation by the state?

And the teacher just coincidentally enough, retired this year?

Summary:

If the state is "investigating", will there be details? Who is the teacher? Who is the photographer? Who is the poster? What will be the results of the legal inquiry? And, if it was all done with permission from the parents, then why the hubbub now about content and privacy? Will we have freedom of information? Is this a genuine furor, or a manufactured controversy to serve someone's agenda?

LOL maybe the internet pressure will force them to rehire her just so parents can demand she be fired.

No. But she should be censured, because the entire thing was venturing into Kim Il Sung territory.
