Not high on the hog living, for sure, but reasonable.......car, occassional movie, eating out, etc.

There is a reason why the cost of living is so low, thats because nobody wants to live there. Poor schools, high crime, terrible infrastructure, nothing to do, poor climate, poor access to water, no jobs, etc.

TK did not adjust for differences in cost of living. He suggested, that because he is scraping by on $10 an hour in middle of nowhere Florida, that everyone should be able to do that.

If everyone moved to middle of nowhere Florida, he would no longer be scraping by on $10 an hour.

I did say that I considered the place that I lived to be overpriced...I'm certain that your area is overpriced as well.

A 2-bedroom SHOULD cost no more than $500 a month.

Nope.
Actually yes it would be reasonable because they are your oranges...you can CHOOSE to give them to others, sell them to others OR let them rot.

What some demand is you be FORCED to redistribute your oranges.

Go find your own cow and own farm...I didn't make you not have one.
Actually, you did. By buying the cow, I can no longer have a cow. Since I need that milk, I am indentured to you.

Our schools are excellent, our weekly paper headlines a radio stolen out of a car , just got a brand new water treatment facility.
Climate preferences are relative, less than an hour to whatever cultural event you could wish for and within 1/2 hour the same job opportunities as anywhere.
You ever leave the area you are in??

Ahhhh well see I never felt the need to chase the dollar; I pretty much live the same way now that I did when I was in college with the exception of health insurance, savings and a cell phone. Well, I do travel quite a bit but I consider seeing my family a necessity for my mental well-being.

So you place no value on achievements; that's fine. You want to live in poverty; that's fine too.

So what exactly is your point?

Umm no,there is more than one cow in the world...what you demand is the forcing of others to give you what you want.
You believe the creation of wealth is a zero sum game, that is your problem.

Go forth and find your own cow, stop being a leech...

If his orange tree became a capital asset through the creation of duress, then yes, "his" orange tree would be extracted from him.

If he planted his own orange tree in his yard from an orange he got from the store, and collected oranges and used them, sold them, or traded them for someones apples (assuming he also got the apple from the store and grew his tree), that is just fine in my book.

If I can't use them all myself, I should gladly share them with anyone who wants them. Why be stingy? Property does not have merit.
