"Do you agree with the Bush Doctrine" is a trap?

He did.
GIBSON: The Bush -- well, what do you interpret it to be?

PALIN: His world view?

GIBSON: No, the Bush doctrine, [e]nunciated September 2002, before the Iraq War.

Is that an answer to her question?

Does it logically fit the conversation?
You seem to need a transcript but dont know how to find one, or you're afraid that looking for information is a trap. I helped you out, see below.

"...looking for a yes or no because either way she was screwed"?! He asked her a simple question; she was screwed because she didnt know the answer!

"Refused to play along", oh my God, do you honestly believe that she knew all about the Bush Doctrine all along but just didnt feel like discussing it?

Anyway, here's your transcript.
GIBSON: Do you agree with the Bush doctrine?

PALIN: In what respect, Charlie?

GIBSON: The Bush -- well, what do you interpret it to be?

PALIN: His world view?

GIBSON: No, the Bush doctrine, [e]nunciated September 2002, before the Iraq War.

PALIN: I believe that what President Bush has attempted to do is rid this world of Islamic extremism, terrorists who are hell-bent on destroying our nation. There have been blunders along the way, though. There have been mistakes made, and with new leadership, and that's the beauty of American elections, of course, and democracy, is with new leadership comes opportunity to do things better.

In other words, she didnt have a clue what the Bush Doctrine was. He had to lead her along, she was completely in the dark. Eventually she was able to stumble along spewing her usual word salad, once she had an inkling of the topic, then he mercifully moved on.

By the time she was asked the question, the Bush Doctrine had morphed into a conglomerate of "issues".

But as it happens, I'm not sure anyone is entirely clear on what the Bush Doctrine is at this particular moment.

My understanding is that she will get a royalty of about 15% (the exact figure was not made public) per book sold. At the MSRP of $28.99 she will be knocking down about $4.35 per copy and should have no trouble exceeding her advance.

Wouldn't you want someone reliable?

Wouldn't you want someone who didn't whine about the press but just did their job?

Unprecedented!

Quote:
A publishing industry source told POLITICO that they “cannot remember a non-fiction book taking off like this in the pre-order market. It became number one only a couple of hours after nothing more than a date announcement. It is truly unprecedented.”

Much of the 400-page book is based on journals Palin kept during her vice-presidential run.

And did she address those issues? She GUESSED it was "HIS WORLD VIEW"!!!

Then she picked up the cue words he gave her -- "Iraq War" and "2002" -- and tried spitballing: "I believe that what President Bush has attempted to do is rid this world of Islamic extremism" -- thereby proving a second time that she had no earthly idea what the BD was.

See transcript above!

Wow. Love is blind.

As Palin groupies perceive it, she did not utuilize a ghost writer. This book will place her in the ranks of Margaret Mitchell, Virginia Woolf and Emily Bronte. She will receive a pulitzer prize and her book will be required reading at universities throughout the world as it will be translated into 40 languages.

Funny thing is that anything worth knowing about Palin has alreay been printed in the tabloids. She is a shameless sef promoter and will do whatever it takes to stay in the limelight. I'm sure that there is a reality show out there with her name on it. She is stretching her 15 minutes to a record length of time by utilizing whatever media is available. Her shock value is profitable even though I don't imagine that she even realizes just how off the wall some of the things she says really are. She has shown us that she can lie, cheat, be vindictive, underhanded and is a self-serving quitter, but alas, these are traits that some find appealing. Her roots and life in Wasilla were not very colorful until the Neocon William Kristol discovered this cubic zirconia in the rough, which has most likely proven to be the sorriest day in John McCain's life and career. In short, no words of wisdom from Palin, written or otherwise, will stand the test of time. In reality she should never have even been a blip on any radar screen of importance.
