Absolutely. I wouldn't disagree with you and I respect your right to your opinion. That will never stop me from giving it the old college try though. I am relieved to see that you recognize that the Nobel judges definitely "make their own rules" and they belong to no one else.

As so many love to post here .... link, please???? I'd really love to see your proof that "the majority of the world accepts it".

On the other hand, in a way you're right. The majority absolutely accepts the choice because it is theirs to give, ill conceived or not. I'm certainly not asking that the award be withdrawn. What's done is done; it was an amusing moment in time, over and done with, but still really fun to toss around with those who will bite.

But your suggestion that it is only "bitter partisans" who feel the award was undeserved than your information comes from extremely limited sources.

It clearly demonstrates that the award itself is purely political and has no meaning whatsoever, except to the liberal and terrorist recipients and their fanatical followers of course.

As you said, even Obama recognizes that he did nothing to earn the award, so it clearly cannot be considered prestigious. Obama was obviously embarrassed by the award, and I do not blame him.
I completely agree with you and I don't think anyone here argued that Obama bears any responsibility for receiving the prize.

Oh no.

Poll: Most don't think Obama deserved Nobel award - The Oval: Tracking the Obama presidency

Poll: Most don't think Obama deserved Nobel award

Quote:
Sixty-one percent of respondents said Obama did not deserve to win the prize announced on Oct. 9, according to the poll; 34% said he did deserve the honor.

When asked if they were personally glad that Obama won the award, 46% said they were and 47% said they were not glad.
Haters!! Racists!!

I think we have a concensus.

I wonder if that's why his numbers a tanking even more.

Get's people thinking about what he's really done, which is pretty much nothing and what he has accomplished, has turned into a nightmare waste of a trillion.

Do you mean that Obama won the prize for what he has done before he was elected?

They're social engineers with a socialist agenda. He fits their agenda. It's that simple. It's his "call to action".

As for the comment by someone that Obama wasn't embarrassed by the award, I'd agree. I don't think that's the word to use. I believe he was uncomfortable, knowing that he hadn't done anything to really desrve to be selected. However, I have to give him credit. He turned it around nicely, with his "call to action" response.

""""Do you mean that Obama won the prize for what he has done before he was elected?"""

I mean the Nobel is an INTERNATIONAL award and in typical, and hated, American arrogance, SOME seem to think Obama's Presidency is what the Nobel award was based on.

Because those people REFUSE to acknowledge the reasons given by the PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY DECIDE is quite ignorant , erroneous, and renders their objection/opinion meaningless.

However, I realize I misread ... didn't realize you were referring to the "majority of the world". I think Americans are in a better position to judge what Barack Obama has accomplished .... or not.

Ya know, why don't all you Obama/Peace haters start your own awards to compete with the Nobel?

It could be the War is Wonderful Prize, or the Save the World with Slaughter Award...

Your first recipient could be a DICK Cheney, Rumsfeld, or a Karl Rove...you got a whole big list from the LAST ADMINISTRATION....

AND , I'm sure the whole world would line up and applaud your decisions....
