"I seen" is the phrase that is like nails on a chalkboard but I don't let it ruin my day.

This may be getting into the weeds, but person and people are techincally two different words from two different Latin roots. They are not actually related to each other. The plural of person really IS persons, and the plural of people is peoples. Person refers to a single individual, persons to more than one of those. People is an originally singular collective noun...sort of like crowd. You could have more than one of either of those. Thus, it would once have been proper to say that the people of this island is typically short in stature with brown eyes and straight dark hair. But in usage, the collective people has assumed the role of the actual plural persons, so that use of people is has come to sound horribly wrong to most ears. Over time, persons as a plural of person has been relegated to legal (as in persons unknown) and certain other contexts, and people has taken over everywhere else with even its singular form being treated as if it were plural.

Do you say anything?
If so, what?
I know white people who do this as well.

I think it might be a Southern thing but I might be biased seeing as I've lived in the south all my life.
