I believe that post was trying to expose the hypocrisy of a "liberal" who would champion a woman's absolute right to her body in one instance while denying it in another. And I would agree that any such person is a hypocrite.
I'd say any such person who believes either should be illegal has his or her head deep in the sands of sanctimony.

So, do they either believe prostitution should be legal as well because a woman has a right to her own body, or do they just want to be able to abort pregnancies and only use that claim to benefit their particular stance?
Ah ... There are many of us conservatives who feel that prostitution should remain illegal as well. When a prostitute sells her body, she is giving someone else the rights to do with her what they please. The girls caught up in this so-called profession are subjecting themselves to emotional harm and to being used by their johns just for a few bucks. The emotional effects outlasts whatever monetary compensation they receive.

Ahh - so you are all for the gov't telling women/men what they can and cannot do with their bodies?? You don't like the idea of 'death' panels, but you're OK with 'sex' panels?

I finally found someone who agrees with me. Have been reading Superfreakonomics and the author says we should be arresting and punishing johns and drug addicts, not hookers and drug dealers. Dry up the customers and like any business, it will fold on its own.
Of course, the Obama administration will probably want to give them a bailout.
Why should the addicts be arrested? The analogy is flawed. John is to dealer as prostitute is to addict, not the opposite.

Prostitution (aka victimization) is currently illegal in most US states so apparently most Americans agree that it should remain illegal.

Why? To make it easier to be victimized and used by her johns? To place society's stamp of approval and validate this lifestyle which only leads to emotional harm for the prostitute?

Well, when it changes, I hope you would support it being legal, given the way you operate.
