We aren't going to face a nuclear war. Personally, I don't think we should have fought any of the last 3 wars we fought. We shouldn't have been so dependant on foreign oil that we had to step into the middle east to stabilze the region.

Listen real close to what I'm about to say, this is off topic but,

We will never be safe from a terrorist attack. In a free society, you must face that danger daily, period, end of discussion. It will never go away. 9/11 could have been prevented, if the CIA and FBI were working together, that happens now.

Correct! "We" are not going to face nuclear war. "We" are going to face nuclear blackmail and terrorism. Our sons could easily face nuclear weapons when we have to invade Iran because we can't live with the nuclear blackmail and terrorism any longer. They will be the ones to face nuclear weapons on the beaches of Iran.

Ward off a nuclear attack?

These people think they will go to Islamo-nazi Heaven if they incinerate our kids. They can't wait to die trying to kill us. Where have you been the last decade?

CIA?

The CIA was gutted under Clinton. They had a 25% attrition rate. With whom was the FBI to work together with?

Lets stay on topic, shall we? If you want to debate the need for military spending at its current level, start another thread, and I'll be happy to disprove you.

Tell me, does this looks familiar?

"Lowering military spending helps pay for some of the other items I put forward, and lowers the debt, making the dollar more valuable, increasing Americas buying power, creating more jobs."

Increase the amount of loans or grants (in some cases) to small businesses.

Heavily subsidize the education of primary care physicians
How about making the health care system more efficicent instead of proposing to throw even more money at a failing system? Here's a good book that outlines a workable solution:

Congress should back off and do absolutely nothing.

Let the economy cleanse itself. The too big will fall down and the little guys will get stronger.
Enough of the status quo.

What JFK did and reagan did;lower taxes to give people investing more moeny to do so and consumer to buy the items. But with the massive federal deficit now;I'm afraid its too l;ate for that ;we will just have to take the future copnsequences i drastic cuts in the budget.

Do you disagree with all tax cuts/credits, or just the home buyer credit?
That doesn't make sense...

If someone is against a tax credit, wouldn't it make more sense not to apply for the tax credit.
