WASHINGTON — The federal government sent Bob Bray $26,174 in stimulus aid to fix a fence and replace the roofs on public apartments in Blooming Grove, Texas, a town of fewer than 900 people outside Dallas. He hired five roofers and an inspector to do the job.
But the number of jobs he reported to the government looked very different — 450 jobs.
He said that he told the government that he had created six jobs but that a federal official told him that wasn't right.
Obviously, the funny method of calculation by obama is the real problem.
And a $26K roof job couldnt have had the 6 people working for more than a few weeks. Hell, it'll cost me $10K to replace the roof on my home and they can do it over a weekend..

that would be about a 3 day job. no way that could even streatch into multiple weeks.
Uh-oh. People are actually checking and verifying the erroneous claims by obama. Not good news......for him.
Not all jobs 'saved' by stimulus were in danger | Columbus Dispatch Politics (http://www.dispatchpolitics.com/live/content/local_news/stories/2009/11/03/copy/stimulus_jobs.ART_ART_11-03-09_B1_RDFIAA5.html?adsec=politics&sid=101 - broken link)
Quote:
The Obama administration announced Friday that federal stimulus money had created or saved about 7,200 education jobs in Ohio as of Sept. 30.
Of the 212.5 full-time equivalent jobs the district said were funded with part of the $64 million in stimulus it expects to receive, about 65 percent were "saved," including 36 principals and assistant principals.
So was the district on the verge of laying off 36 school administrators?
"No," Dannemiller said, explaining that the reporting choices were "created" and "saved."
"They weren't 'created,' obviously, so our only other choice was 'saved.' "

Desperate times demand desperate measures.
Where are THEY right now. I guess I will eat some lunch and maybe THEY will have arrived.
The math that the folks in DC use is some kind of new math that we just don't understand yet. They count a lot different than all the elementary kids have been taught to count, I fear.

Dont worry, sag will be along any minute to explain how the "DC" math is the correct math and our education failed us when teaching us to count. (in this example.. to SIX)..

It's Amateur Hour at the White House again I see. Obama would have done himself a huge favor by staying out of the stimulus jobs creation conversation and let Biden look like the fool. Instead, he's in a nose-to-nose battle for his credibility against a nation of sleuths who are capable of unearthing the very lies that the Rookie In Chief should have known not to tell. With every flap of the lip touting success, comes a new report of skewed numbers, fuzzy math, and outright fraud. The narcissist in Obama insists on having his name pegged to the stimulus, therefore he should also own up to the lies that are perpetrated in the wake of this massive boondoggle.
