We already have the words "In God We Trust" on the "money", and look at the sorry state of our "money".

If Sarah Palin's words weren't empty and political crap, then what does she mean, exactly?
I think that what she is saying is that our laws need to reflect the values of her chosen religion. If I didn't know the evangelicals of her part of the country well, I'd be willing to give her some leeway but...I've lived among these people.

If and when I see god, either in this life or the afterlife, I will believe what he says. I never got the whole point of having to believe before you die or your out. That reduces life to a some kind of game or race, and really limits gods power. The only way it's a gamble is if god is a gamblin man who is playing us all. And that sounds more like a human trait. Hmmmm..

God has given us free will to decide our fate for ourselves.

Exactly so. But do you believe that SP or anyone else has any right to force their own particular brand of Christianity on the country as a whole? I think that given the chance, she would attempt that, and I base that on firsthand knowledge of the evangelical sect that exists in the Matanuska Valley and beyond in parts of Alaska.

The Jesus that I believe in is not the same as the one they do...

Palin has become notorious for just spitting out words and phrases. If you really listen, which I find difficult, not only because of her politics, but that annoying voice and those inflections, you soon realize that she says very little of substance. No concrete ideas, just rhetoric.

Well then I choose whatever fate is best. But I still can't believe if my brain won't let me. And I won't fake it like so many people do. God will understand...if he's real.

Do you know I've actually been told I need to "go dumb" in order for Jesus to reveal himself to me? You just have to shake your head at stuff like that.

Since I am not from Alaska, I am unfamiliar with the type of evangelical sect you are referring to. Could you clarify?

Did you listen to the interview in question? I don't think you did. For, if you had, there was a LOT OF SUBSTANCE - and CONCRETE ideas -
