I agree. They shouldn't have been so quick to pass judgment. They should have waited until the device actually detonated. Then as they were raining down in bloody bits and pieces, they should have jumped him.

Oh by all means body slam the guy.

But Heroism? Really? Is this what counts for heroism?

We are screwed if you must be hero to tackle some idiot trying to light a firecracker on a plane.

They did not know or think that it was 'just a firecracker'. In fact -- it wasn't a firecracker at all.

One U.S. intelligence official said the explosive device was a mix of powder and liquid. It failed when the passenger tried to detonate it.

Oooooh! Republican King was right!

That does sound "technologically advanced"!

Maybe it was kerosene and gunpowder! OMG!

He was obviously on the cutting edge terrorist technology.

It had the potential to be a bomb. As far as the passengers were concerned, it was a bomb. As far as those that jumped this guy were concerned they were going to die.

Why is that just so hard for you to understand? And why bring up the fact that a 'republican' had to say on the subject? Would you believe it if it had been a democrat rep or sen who described the situation? Are you really that much of a partisan axx?

Guess padcrasher would not be happy unless the plane exploded, everyone on board killed in the explosion, and then deny it was a terrorist plot. So padcrasher, you support alqaida or what?

If the compound had exploded and kill roughly 300 passengers, would you still be making childish attempts at humor? The 9/11 hijackers used box cutters for f-cks sake, not exactly 'technologically advanced' yet they managed to kill 3,000. Al-Queda suicide bombers are not going to using C4, Semtex, or thermite, they use whatever they can get their hands on...
