This means that a senior citizen on Medicare will no longer be accepted as a new patient as of 3/1/10. We have a hard enough time getting appointments with specialists for our Medicare patients. It will be impossible now. We will have to refer them to the county hospital clinics where it will be months for an appointment with a specialist.

Now we'll know what it's like in Canada.

We are losing our only two Doctors because of husseon obama. Now the people on Medicare will have to travel over an hour and a half to see a doctor. I cannot wait until this con man is out.

Not one doctor in the entire county accepts medicaid and already existing doctors are declining new medicare patients.

It really is time to seriously think about voting every single one of the current crop of clowns, democrats and republicans both, out and get a new crop of clowns.

Doctors did not spend half their life going to school before they could practice just to have the government tell them how much money they can earn. Their liability insurance is not going down, the cost of offices, equipment and trained staff is not going down. I suspect many doctors of retirement age are going to quit instead working as long as they could. The worst part will be the huge decline in medical students, they will look to other professions.

I wish I could find the story again but there was a doctor on the news who really researched the cost of running his practice. The majority of his cost was paperwork for insurance. He reduced his front office staff to one receptionist and no longer accepted insurance. He charged $75.00 per month for unlimited visits, no matter what care was needed. The state came in an shut him down on doing it. He was happy. All his patient were happy.

Ok, I'm the last individual in the world to stand up for Obama.. But this is more of an issue with the government, not directly related to him.

But, indeed this is a sign of things to come if the fed govt takes over the whole healthcare industry.

Just think, we are losing doctors now due to medicare cuts, imagine what it'll be like if the healthcare plan passes and they get the further cuts they are hoping for..

I think the ultimate goal is to put private physicians out of business and make them government employees. I feel sorry for all those doctors who have already spent thousands of dollars for an EMR thinking that the CMS will reimburse most of the expense.
