That's the problem with a contrived, manufactured movement - no passion, not "real" and soon to fizzle out.
It is born out of fear. Coffee Party, Pelosi thinking she is like the Tea Party, the rabid radical hater Van Jones getting all lovely dovey over Glenn Beck, liberals here being strangely nice. It kind of turns your stomach a little bit. I think a new game is in the making. Beware my friends.
Dcl, ...Yeah, and I had an ex that was rotten so I don't trust easily. I'm a Democrat but, I'm fiscally conservative, I own a gun. I was there in the 60's, noone is gonna pee on my leg and tell me it's raining. It wasn't better. There are an awful lot of single parent households in the world, of all backgrounds. I'm not proposing "hugs and kisses, I'm just asking if we can't be respectful of one another. It has to start somewhere. I was the first female working supervisor at a plant for a national company, only year round female. It wasn't always a basket of roses. It's late and I'm tired so this isn't a great post, I'm just offering to express opinions respectfully, you may not like every opinion but, I will try to be decent.

An article in the New York Times today said: "It [the Coffee Party] had nearly 40,000 members as of Monday afternoon, but the numbers were growing quickly — about 11,000 people had signed on as fans since the morning."
Doesn't sound like they're going to "fizzle out" real soon, Sarene. I would think you'd be happy to see another grassroots group out there wanting to see changes in the government. It's no more "manufactured than the Tea Party Movement.

There are Democrats and there are the progressive Democrats. If you read a comment and you do not believe it fit you, pass it by. Everyone cannot target every nuance in any party. Some things must be generalized to keep a comment under the length of a book.
I place no stock in someone owning a gun. That is a right and a preferance for everyone.

How is it more contrived or manufactured than the tea party? You may be right in that it may fizzle due to lack of sensationalism, unfortunately, but that doesn't make it less real.
You can feel the scorn of the know-nothing underbelly; they know they are losing the country. The re-election of President Obama is looking great for 2012, proud to say.
It's a great time to be alive.
