Where in the Constitution does it lay the ground work for using the bible for anything??
FWIW, I've reported for jury duty regularly for the past 20 years and I haven't seen a bible in a MDC court room in all that time. It's just "raise your right hand a repeat after me. I solemnly swear to....."
Obama swore on Abraham Lincoln's bible by Justice Roberts.. hummmm....
Then why did they leave god, the bible and Jesus totally and completely out of the Constitution, their blueprint for "creating the greatest nation in history"??
They didn't want to mandate the Federal government to be Christian, force citizens to practice Christianity, nor forbid citizens from practicing other religions or any Christian denomination. If that's what you mean by 'Christian nation,' then we're not and never were.
There is a big difference between being a "Christian nation", and having a majority of the population being Christian. America is the latter. We are not the Christian Republic of America. We are not a theocracy (look to Saudi Arabia or Iran for that, though that is a different religion).
