If people were so bent out of shape about this, they could have kept their kids home from the original prom, but they chose to bully. How can you condone this behavior from parents and teachers?

Do you realize you sound like a lynch-mob participant?

You obviously dont think spite is a terrible thing, and you have as much respect for Christian values as those cruel beasts have.

As I said before, every single acre of this great nation does not have to subscribe to a certain set of beliefs. Mississippi is decidely Christian, of which homosexuality is undeniably incompatible. This girl created a firestorm with her date request, which was denied. Why would this surprise anyone, I have no idea. And then she pursues a court case, and wins. Right or wrong, this can be construed as an attack on Christianity, of which the town's folk responded in kind. Could all of this been handled differently, by the girl and by the adults? Absolutely. And it most certainly could have been avoided.

Can you really call the townfolk Christian after they demonstrated that their vanity is stronger than their faith?

I don't really care about this. Prom is not all that. Wierd how people reacted though, makes them all look foolish.

This has NOTHING to do with Christianity btw and nobody should be claiming it does.

Someone should burn this terrible little hick town to the ground! This poor girl is way too good for them, obviously. They could have just let her go. Girls go with girls & guys go with guys all the time to our prom, if they didn't have friends to go with, ect. and some go as a group. Nobody cares! God didn't strike us all down with lightning from heaven.

These people have turned what should've been an insignificant event into a huge one and have demonstrated their cruelty for all the world to see. I am in shock right now at how mean some people are. This whole thing is a tragedy all around.
Wow! love the tolerance from the tolerant. I like the typical, mean and hate comments from the lefties on here. Why is "this poor girl way to good for them" ? because she is a lesbian?

Ah, but you see, your entire premise is set upon the notion that Christians are faultless. Somehow the Chrisian faith trumps human nature and human err. This argument is held up any time Christians falter. It holds no water whatsoever.

Lol, so lame. They were tested and they proved that they're not Christian at all. They're just the traditional lynch-mob mix of vicious and self-righteous.
