We have a Constitutional mandate to provide for the common defense. No war is ever popular after the first two years, but they, unlike a government takeover of health care, are necessary.
Just look at what these blood thirsty, war mongering Democrats had to say on the subject.

They just pretend to care about people in other countries because they want strategic footholds, resources, places to send more missionaries, and the old intimidation factor. That's what fearful people do, bully others to create an image.
Meanwhile, they snarl at and label their own people back home for daring to ask for health care. Yeah they care about "freedom" of people on the other side of the globe and about trumped up "threats" in Iraq, but not about the freedom of Americans from a terribly flawed and corrupt health care system, and the freedom to not have to lie in fear of bankruptcy should they become gravely ill or injured, even if they have an insurance policy, in many cases.

So, where were you during the Bush Jr/Cheney, Clinton, Bush Sr and Reagan administrations?

Powell Supports Obama so.....As for Obama being a socialist, that's utterly ridiculous, why is the fear of socialism so great for so many on here? Where is this paranoia coming from? You are right. Obama is not a socialist. He is farther left than that and would probably be categorized as a communist. I am sure that you are ignoring the fact that he was the most far left senator in the senate before becoming president. He has left that "centrist" position and moved even further to the left in a very disturbing fashion.

8 years from now I will be happy, as Obama will be gone for five of those. This man is ruining America for everyone, not just republicans. His unprecedented spending and authoritarian politics, if left unchecked, would have the nation on its knees in eight years. Fortunately, Obama is screwing up to the point that he will usher in a republican senate and congress for his remaining two and a half years, while essentially guaranteeing a republican president in 2012. That I will enjoy!
