If Capitalism is so bad why does the entire country want to live here? I'm sure you probably went to college and were indoctrinated by some Leftie professor so you believe it's A-ok to work for nothing and give most of your wealth to people that sit on their ass and the state. Well pal, hate to tell you but you're in the minority here. Move to Denmark.
Sharpton himself is considered a racist by some people. I frankly don't overly like any of those civil rights people, with their radical views they often do more damage than good, not to mention the religious thingy they like so much, it repels me. Jesse Jackson is another guy I would never ever vote for. As far as I know, Obama is more or less trying to keep away from the civil rights movement. He does not want to be considered a spokesman for the minorities.

There is not just one capitalism, there are different forms and degrees of it, some - usually the ones benefiting most from it - prefer the radical versions of it, while others would like a controlled and tamed version of that beast.

Why does the entire country want to live there? First, I don't think that statement is correct, and second, they have no choice.

As long as I can keep enough of my income to support myself in a modest way, I am fine with the rest going to the state and hopefully being used to help people who need it more than I do. But I never felt the urge to compile wealth anyway. I avoid people trying to be wealthy, they are the wrong kind of company.

I certainly won't move to Denmark, too right-wing for me, too many Nazis and too few colored people. Not to mention the depressing climate and landscape.

What does 'minority woman' mean anyway? Koreans for instance are a minority too and everybody knows they don't like black people... So, are you black or not?

The dictator for life argument again?

Bush won two elections and you people never stop complaining about him.

Must be because he is white.

Well, he won at least one election rightfully As I said, the world would have welcome anyone, Gore or whoever, too, as long as they were clearly different from Bush.
And let's be frank, statistically it was high time someone with a minority background was elected president of your country.

It really does say something when the apartheid regime of South Africa commended the USA for it's segregation policies of the 1940/50's and early 1960's.

And it really says something about your predictable arguments to have to go back fifty years to provide support for them.

I meant to say world, not country. Exaggerating but you get the gist. People flock to America because of opportunity. Not so much anymore however because they see us becoming just like Europe.

I admit I didn't vote for Obama. Not because of color.
I thought he was an all talk person with no experience in running a nation.
From what he has done so far, I think I was right.
He is still campaigning. I hope he is a one term president and that there is someone out there who is smart enough and loves the country enough to try to reverse both Obama's and Bush's ruination of our country.
Bush was terrible. Obama has no idea about how to correct past mistakes.
He thinks just spend, spend, spend, will make everything alright and taking care of big money grubbers.
Well, it wont make everything alright.
IMO, he has become a puppet of the radicals who lust for a one world government who wants to control everyones lives 24 hpurs a day.

Someone who loves the country will likely get knocked out in the primaries of either party. Reagan was the last one who survived to process by shear will of the people. My local Tea Party organization is currently training delegates so we can have greater influence in candidate selection. We'll have to wait and see how that progresses.

The major reason for that is that most of the world speaks English as a second language, which for many emigrants rules out a lot of otherwise interesting destinations and makes places like the US, Canada and Australia ideal destinations. Language is key. Portuguese emigrants for instance prefer Brazil and more recently even Angola.
Plus, it is simply easier for people to migrate to the US than to Europe. There is no green card lottery in Europe and the official paths are just as difficult on both sides. Anyway, there is a thread on why Europeans don't want to move to the US anymore, just in case you care.

Having a Black/Biracial POTUS flys in the face of what many non-Blacks are taught to believe which is their is a privilege attached to not being Black.

Many are taught that Blacks are supposed to be on the bottom of the totem pole so if you are not doing better than a Black person you are not in your rightful place.

The undercurrent (and overt) anger being directed towards President Obama is nothing new for Blacks who have made achievements and have strived for excellence in this country. Simply ask any Black doctor, judge, attorney, business owner, etc if they have encountered instances of a non-Black who was outwardly envious of their accomplishments (and if they are willing) they will share numerous stories if this being true. I've experienced it and my parents taught me early what to expect from certain types of people.

It doesn't surprise me that so many have come out of the woodwork to attack the President - that's how these people would attack any Black person who shatters their myth of "entitlement".

You nailed it there. Muslim?, COME ON IN! Mexcian? COME ON IN! Criminal history? NOOO PROBLEM! No money? NOOO PROBLEM! No Skills? NOOO PROBLEM!

How did America become great? We used to have laws & standards we enforced. But that was back when we had common sense. Now America has become a wretched cesspool of moral decay and complacency with everyone pointing fingers and doing nothing about it except running to the Govt. Which is exactly the way they want it.

Wonder why other countries mock us? Because we are a joke and have nobody to blame but ourselves.
